Paul is thrilled to be part of a firm with a long, distinguished history and also where management and staff truly enjoy working with each other. Paul began his career in insurance in 1981 when he joined his father’s agency, Coupin Insurance Agency. He received his BS in Finance from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He resides in Orinda with his wife and son. Paul enjoys skiing (snow and water), golf, cycling and supporting the Golden Bears football and basketball teams.
As a member of the CF&P team since 2003, Michael is proud to be a part of the family business. After twelve years in San Francisco, he and his wife, Paige, reside in Moraga with their two young children. Michael enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the local food scene and relaxing in Lake Tahoe. Through education and relationships, he stays abreast of industry developments and trends. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Michael is currently studying for his CPCU certification and is excited to be a leader in the insurance industry for years to come.
Bob was born and raised in Berkeley and attended the University of Washington, graduating in 1971. Bob started with the firm – founded in 1937 by his father and John Fritschi — in 1973. He and his wife, Susie, raised their two children – Jenny and Michael – in Moraga. Michael joined the firm in 2003. Interests outside of the business include time in Lake Tahoe, travel and family in the U.S. and Australia.
Born, raised and educated in the Bay Area, Jack is a third generation family member in the insurance industry. He started his insurance career in 1965 with Crum and Forster in San Francisco and moved to the brokerage side in 1968, joining Crist and Fritschi. Jack continues today on an active basis with Crist, Fritschi & Paterson, Inc. He resides in Walnut Creek with his wife of 50 years, Maureen. Their three sons, along with their spouses and grandchildren, live in Lafayette and Walnut Creek. An avid Cal Bear fan, Jack attends Cal Football games with his sons and grandsons.
Jeff was born in Oakland and raised in the East Bay Area. He graduated from Miramonte High School in 1987 and from Chico State in 1992. Jeff has been in the insurance industry and with Crist, Fritschi and Paterson since 1992 and is proud to be a part of the legacy and business that his grandfather helped establish in 1937. He lives in Walnut Creek with his beautiful wife Shannon and their two sons Clayton and Tanner. In addition to the constant organized sports the boys participate in throughout the year they spend their summers boating and wakeboarding at Lake Tahoe and the San Joaquin Delta and winters snowboarding and skiing.
Tom started in the insurance industry in 1979, joining his fathers firm, CPR, after training with Chubb in San Francisco. They merged with CCF&R in 1993 creating Crist, Fritschi & Paterson, that being one of the better decisions of his career. Having been born in Oakland and also working in Oakland fortunately he has been witness to the vastness of our world through travel, from the serenity and arts of Bali to the bustle and commerce of Istanbul. He has been blessed with his wife, Hillery, and their two children, Tyler and Drew. Hillery is an artist and teacher and they share in her love of the arts and education. The insurance business has served him well as it has given him the opportunity to be creative and of service to individuals and businesses alike for over thirty years.
Employed by Hartford Insurance Company, Tom was transferred from his East Coast roots to San Francisco in 1969. In the 1970’s Tom earned an MBA from Golden Gate University and achieved the professional designation of CPCU and CLU. He joined Crist, Fritschi and Paterson in 1993 and has enjoyed working with small business owners and property managers. Oakland is his home where he lives with his wife of 40 years. They have an extended family of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Tom enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, rollerblading and kayaking.
Licensed since 1975, Marc is a Senior Associate at CF&P. He graduated from UC Berkeley and is a member of Oakland Rotary Club #3. Marc is also a member of the Search and Rescue Air Squadron and Bay Area Red Cross Disaster Assistance. He enjoys hiking, skiing and biking.
